2008 Box Office Hits By Derain: Free New Movies

This is a short list of movie hits for 2008. I have chosen a few of the films I enjoyed watching this year. Hopefully you will see some films here that are good viewing.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: Wild and crazy nights in Las Vegas are normal. Barely remembering what had happened, Jack and Joy wake up to discover that they are married. They wind up winning a large jackpot at the slot machines, but there is a debate on who gets the money, so they ask a judge for a decision. The judge decides that they must stay together for six months, and give their marriage a chance. With an eye on the jackpot, they each try to get the other to give up, as both desire to have the cash for themselves.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Heavy pot smoker Dale Denton has just witnessed a bad police officer, and a big time dealer, commit a murder. They see him witness the crime. Understanding that he has been seen, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and gets away fast. The pot is so unique, that it is possible to find out who has it. The game is on, as Dale and his dealer Saul are deparately hidding from the bad guys.

FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Overwhelmed with grief after a devastating break up with his girlfriend Sarah, an actress in a chessy sitcom, Peter eventually decides to take a vacation to Oahu to recover from his depression. As one might expect, upon checking into the resort, he looks up and sees his ex girlfriend and her new lover, who is a mega rock star. The stage is set for a classic romantic comedy.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a quest to find his brother, science professor Trevor Anderson sets out on a journey that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is another version of the original 1959 movie, which was about the science fiction book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.

WANTED: A young, bored, office worker named Wesley discovers that the father he never knew, is an assasin. His father has been murdered, now Wesley is asked to join into the group of assasins that his dead father was involved with. He now will become the killing expert that that he was destined to become. After that, everything becomes very complex and twisted. Enjoy this roller coaster ride.

WALL-E: This film is an animation comedy. Everyone has been removed from Earth because it had become a big pile of trash. Wall-E, a robot built to remove trash, has been left behind to continue cleaning. When a recon bot (Eve) appears, checking for signs of life on Earth, Wall-E finally has some company. When the spaceship returns for Eve, Wall-E sneaks aboard, and thus starts the adventure of his robot life.

Jumper: Nearing death by drowning, David Rice discovers he has an unbelievable ability. He has the ability to teleport himself to any place he wants to go, at any time. Later, he becomes aware that there are others with this skill. Unfortunately, after a few years of fun, he finds out that there are those that want him, and all the jumpers wiped out. He must fight for his life, as these paladins believe he should die.

GET SMART: Agent 86 is back, and he has us right where he wants us. The classic James Bond spy spoof, agents hidden in plants, and the cone of silence. This is a modern day version that looks back at the world of KAOS and CONTROL.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones movies are back, after a few years off. This is the latest film about the adventures of Indiana Jones. In this movie Indiana battles the Soviets. This time, it's off top the amazone to search for the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.

These days just about everyone buys or rents films when the come out on DVD, so they can see them in the comfort of their living rooms. A more recent method for getting films is through downloads from online sources. Online providers have websites that with a membership, you can download almost any film you can think of. - 15275
