Sony has provided consumers, for years, with phenomenal gaming environments. They have taken a step further with the Playstation 3. This gaming console offers a multi-media functionality, along with gaming technology that is still new to the market. Gaming and home entertainment has a new shell - the Playstation 3.
The Playstation 3, like other gaming consoles, comes with a variety of hard drive sizes. The bigger the drive, the more functionality the unit has. Offering different consoles gives consumers the ability to choose how much they want to spend and what exactly they want with their console.
Take for example, the 80GB console. This console supports many of the older PS2 games - meaning you can play these old games on the new console. There are four USB ports along with slots for Compact Flash, SD Memory Card and Memory Stick Duo card. The memory slots are slightly hidden behind a door on the front panel. The USB ports are easily accessible for charging controllers, or using other USB devices.

The one downfall, to these controllers, is that the batteries are not replaceable. When a battery life is gone, the entire controller will have to be replaced. The controllers can detect six different motions: forward, backward, left, right, up, and down.
