You Need This to Thrive with Your Internet Business Opportunity

By Shane Vandeventer

When people start marketing on the internet they always run into the same challenge: How can I generate traffic that wont cost me an arm and leg? One of the quickest ways to generate traffic is through pay per click (PPC) advertising. It does take considerable research and time to set up and maintain your campaigns but it can produce traffic quickly.

One consideration with pay per click advertising is that your costs have to be managed carefully to ensure profitability. In a competitive atmosphere, this can incredibly difficult. Typically, you will have some competition in any market that has profit potential. Certain niche markets will produce inexpensive clicks to your website.

The great thing about creating traffic is that it can be very inexpensive. You can network on social networking sites, write articles, or write and update a blog in your spare time. Writing articles is my favorite method.

Making consistent blog entries with the anchor text pointing to your site will give you the inbound links that the search engines value and in turn you get better placement in the search results. To start a blog today, check out wordpress.com or blog.com. Being on a tight budget for my first blog, I was very pleased with wordpress.com.

A great way to get qualified visitors to your site is to write great content filled articles. It isn't very popular because it can be very time consuming and it takes patience to do it effectively. Create a 450-650 word article that provides information that will help people in your target market solve a problem. Place a link in the article body and another link in your signature box pointing to your website.

Social networking is the latest trend in internet marketing. This method has generated a lot of revenue for those that have been diligent in pursuing it. The operative word is networking not marketing. You dont want to be considered a spammer by the community you are trying to attract. Put links to your blog or to one of your other networking pages from your posts. For example, on your facebook page put a link to your youtube page. Do not put a link directly to your offer from your posts. This is considered spam and it will not be received well by your target market.

Your goal is to just be yourself and you will attract others who possess similar values and backgrounds. The key is to bring great content to the community just like you would if you were focusing on a blog or writing articles. Your peers will respect and admire you when you give to the community via good content or advice. The top platforms for social networking are twitter, facebook, and Youtube. Myspace was once a top site, but it has lost its place as a premiere social networking site.

Utilizing these tools the right way is the key to increase your income potential and realizing your dreams. - 15275
